Groq is currently the fastest way to use Aori. Because Groq uses specialized hardware (LPUs), it can generate text almost instantly. Even better, Groq offers a generous free tier that makes it the perfect starting point for new Aori users.

Step-by-Step Setup

1. Go to console.groq.com and create an account.
2. Once logged in, navigate to the API Keys section in the left-hand sidebar.
3. Click the Create API Key button.
4. Give your key a name (e.g., “Aori Phone”) and click Submit.
5. Copy your new API key immediately.

How to Enter Your Key in Aori

1. Open Aori on your device.
2. Go to Settings → Connections → LLM Provider.
3. Select Groq from the list of providers.
4. Paste your API key into the field.
5. Tap Save or Connect.

Default Model

By default, Aori uses Llama 3.3 70B on Groq. This is a highly capable, open-source model that balances reasoning depth with incredible speed.

Limits and Pricing

Groq’s free tier is based on rate limits (how many requests you can make per minute) rather than token costs. For most personal use cases, you will rarely hit these limits. If you do, Aori will notify you to wait a few moments before trying again.
